Art is basically a guy who sits in a chair and watches TV. When we asked Art if we could be his back up band, he looked at us curiously and sort of grunted. We took that for a yes and here we are.

Art Beagle's Back Up Band is a Minneapolis based trio that plays Jazz

Standards, R&B/Soul/Pop covers from 50's to 90's as well as original

music written by its members. This trio features the talents of....

Michael Burton on keyboards guitar, vocals and trombone.

Originally from Minneapolis, Michael has played guitar, keyboards,

trombone and other instruments with various bands and artists,

including Shakedown City, Elena, and the Classics Big Band. Michael

can be seen regularly in various theater productions in the Twin

Cities area.

Yoji Sera on drums

Originally from Tokyo, Japan. Yoji developed a love for Jazz during

his early college days in Ohio.

Yoji has performed with several bands in the Twin Cities area in the

past few years.

Tamir Nolley on bass/saxophone:

Originally from Minneapolis, Tamir has performed on bass and/or

saxophone with various artists including Shakedown City, The Express

Band, The Esperanza Ensemble. Tamir has been teaching at Hopewell

Music Cooperative-North since its founding and is the director of the

school's Jazz Ensemble..

…and who knows, Art might just show up to one of his gigs….
